Notifications aren't consistent

So like, for a while my notifications whenever I use Discord on my phone have been quite irregular. Some days I'll get consistently notified of messages in a group chat with friends while other days, and most often, notifications will not appear or go off and I've missed almost an hour's worth of conversations in the group chat and such. Sometimes it's rectified by disconnecting my phone from the wifi and reconnecting but then the problem starts up again a couple days later. I know it's a small problem but damn has it become a fast growing pet peeve of mine.
