Allow game developers to integrate Discord more deeply into their games
One of the biggest games of 2020, Among Us, helped pushed downloads for Discord, and now the social network is bigger than ever. However, much of the game relies on manually muting and unmuting, which is not only a setback when it comes to fair play, but is also very difficult to do on mobile.
Why not have Discord built into games like Among Us, so game developers don't have to focus on building their own voice chat infrastructure, and each game's custom voice chat functions can be executed properly? Type in a room name, and Discord will automatically sync all the proper players in the right room, and mute and unmute at the right times without the players even having to think about doing it themselves. This would help with matchmaking as well, as players could block toxic individuals so they wouldn't have to encounter them in chat. And as always, the conversation continues even after the game is over.
Implementing this would help game developers just focus on the rest of the experience, while also promoting the Discord brand and encouraging new users to sign up (people could even add each other on Discord after a match).
I do think there would be a few hurdles to get over before this happens, but allowing Discord to be built into games will be a huge booster for the platform as a whole.

The muting (and I imagine anything else you could wish for) is achievable with the Discord Game SDK:

Having the game interact with users in a server is half of the reason we have bots. Discord has put their resources into allowing game developers and the community to create integrations, and it is totally a game developer's responsibility to make tools like these if they're desired.
