DISABLE AUTO-SCROLLING TO NEW MESSAGES AFTER SWITCHING APP OR SCREEN GOES OFF

Whether on iphone or ipad, can we please just stay on the same chat screen we are currently in after we switch applications or do any other operations without us being pushed down to see the new messages? There are so many messages to be read and having to repeatedly scroll back all the way up to read previous messages every single time is very discouraging. Not everyone wants to see the new messages as they come in and we want to stay in the same chat position we are in, or give us an option to bookmark the chat position we are in so we can go back to it with ease, we can choose a date to go to easily and start reading on that date, and add a time stamp too after the date. But disabling the auto scrolling to see new messages would be preferable. We need the option to disable auto scrolling to new messages.

Many people have already asked for solutions for this issue. It only happens if you switch applications and if you do other activities outside of the discord app or if the screen turns off, but as soon as you come back to the discord app, it pushes you all the way down to see new messages, which we do not want. We want to pick up where we left off without having to scroll all the way up every single time. Make it efficient to navigate through the chat.
