Keeping Same Discriminator Code When Nitro Ends, And Personalizing It Without Nitro

Hi everybody, I have a suggestion on a possible way to make Discord even better. You know how when you create a Discord account, you are given a random discriminator, and you can't personalize it unless you get Nitro? Then, even if you get Nitro to personalize it, when your subscription expires, so does your personalized discriminator, and it gives you another random discriminator? Well, I think that they should allow people to keep their discriminators that they personalized when they had Nitro, instead of losing it when your subscription expires. I also think that people should be able to personalize it at least sometimes without a Nitro subscription. I know that part is a lot less likely, but I feel like if you got it just to personalize your discriminator, you should at least be able to keep it when your subscription ends. What do you guys think bout this? Do you think you should have to have an active subscription to have your personalized discriminator, or should you be able to keep it even when your subscription expires. This won’t happen because a ton of people will just get Nitro Classic for a month, change their tag to #0001 or whatever, and then cancel. Over time, more and more of those users would go inactive or get banned, preventing new people from getting the tag they want. Forcing people to keep paying if they change their tag this way ensures that only active, paying users (which is what Discord wants) are the ones with these tags since it’s extremely rare for someone to get something like #1337, #6969, etc. as a randomly generated tag.
