Ownership and Co-Ownership

This would accomplish nothing, because owners who want to be able to nuke the server would simply never designate a co-owner to begin with. Personally as a server owner, I would never add a co-owner no matter who they were or how much I trust them. I can't think of many server owners who would add a co-owner knowing that said co-owner cannot ever be removed, even by the owner themselves.

Admins and mods get removed all the time for various reasons, many of them justified. Such as breaking discord TOS, breaking the servers rules, abusing their power within the server, harassing other members and sometimes even using the server to commit crimes. Why do you think someone with the role of "co-owner" would be an exception? All that would happen from there is that if a co-owner goes rouge and starts abusing their power in the server is that even the owner can't get rid of them and so the only choice is to abandon the server and make a new one.

This doesn't make servers more secure, it just makes them more likely to be subject to abuse by an unbannable admin who knows there's absolutely nothing you can do to them aside from leave the server.

I would much prefer you have the ability to designate someone as "backup owner" this person has no special permissions (They cannot kick, ban, mute, change roles etc) and can be banned or roles revoked at will.  In this case, if the owner should lose their account or not log in for say a full calendar year, then the server could automatically transfer to whatever member has the "backup owner" role. If the original owner returns, ownership should automatically be restored to the original and revoked from the backup.

The only exception to this automation would be if a server owner transferred ownership manually through discord itself, otherwise the original owner maintains full ownership should they ever return. The backup owner even after receiving ownership should be clearly listed in the server as "Backup Owner" when they take control of the server they should have full management access with a few exceptions, they should not be able to delete the server, nor delete invite links create by the original owner.

I get your concerns - but as a server admin and former owner of one based around a YouTuber, getting specific things done is near impossible due to the owner (The youtuber) being completely inactive, but he holds ownership for partnership purposes and transferring ownership gets rid of all partnership perks. Also, most owners that go rogue don't do so from the beginning - I've been in plenty of servers that got wiped from the face of the earth because the owner was fine but had a breakdown, having the owner be able to remove them would be fine - but the issue of rogue nuking would still be at play, though at least you would be safe from co-owners going rogue. My issue is simple server management is pretty bad unless you're an owner, and partnered servers for YouTubers don't usually have very active owners due to the fact they're content creators and do stuff elsewhere.

For example, community is completely useless to us as we can't turn on Discovery because only the owner can do that for the 2FA setting.
