Phone Verification
Anti-Abuse Suggestion:
Only an e-mail verification method is better than asking for a phone number. Many people do not always have a phone number available/would not give it out of the blue for an anti-abuse verification to "Discord".

Agreed, that is also what I have been suggesting. If there was a email method way more people would be able to get into their accounts if they were to get locked out since there are people who may be unable to access their phone whether they didn't have one or if it was broken and they just couldn't get a new one at the time.

Yes, and some of us don't have phones, it would be great if you kept us in mind.

I am having a similar issue. Someone obviously tried to use my phone number, or entered theirs 1 digit off and entered mine. It is utter insanity to allow someone ELSE to add MY phone number to their account when it is already attached to mine!!!!
