apparently free gifts from the company count as having subscribed to nitro before

the title pretty much says it all; I've never bought nitro before, which made me think that I would be eligible for the three months of free nitro from the epic games collab but nooooo of course not! because I redeemed that free one month of nitro back in december or whenever it was, I'm technically not a "new subscriber". also, why limit the eligibility anyways? seems a bit like a slap in the face to the people who've been supporting the app financially. obviously I'm a bit biased since I'm upset over this whole issue but even from an objective standpoint this doesn't seem very fair (not that I'd expect a business to care about things like that but still).
