Frequent Audio Drops During Mobile Discord Calls
Hi everyone,
I've been encountering a persistent issue with Discord on my mobile device, particularly during voice calls. The problem seems to revolve around audio connectivity. Whenever I switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, or enter areas with weaker signals, the audio in my calls becomes very unstable. It's choppy, sometimes cutting out entirely for a few seconds before coming back.
This issue occurs under these circumstances:
- During both voice and video calls, whether it's in private chats or server channels.
- When I'm using Discord alongside other apps, with Discord running in the background.
- Right after I finish a phone call, if Discord was running during the call.
I've noticed similar complaints from other users, which leads me to believe this isn't just an isolated issue with my device or network. It seems more like a broader problem with how the Discord app manages network transitions and connectivity under varying signal strengths.
I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing this and if there are any known fixes or workarounds. Also, it might be helpful for the Discord team to look into this, possibly improving network handling or the app's reconnection mechanisms to provide a more stable audio experience.
Thanks for any input or suggestions you might have!
Regards
Kengward
