My thoughts on the new update

I have used Discord for years and it’s always been the same, of course I welcome some change like the soundboard and I could get with the messages being on the bottom, but that’s about it because right now discord is so dark I can’t even see my name on certain servers (because it’s black) and I am only on dark mode, midnight just makes my entire screen black not to mention somebody thought it was a good idea to put the same effect on every notification. 

Another gripe, why would you get rid of the server side bar where all the people show up? now I have to go all the way up to the top of my phone and click a button to look at the side bar instead of just simply swiping. Plus, I can’t even read chat when I’m looking at names now.

 Overall despite the fact that I spend most of my day on this platform, my usage of Discord will dramatically be decreasing considering it hurts my eyeballs to try to read stuff now. I refuse to go blast my eyeballs with bright light on light mode when you literally can’t read in that mode either because all the letters become tiny silhouettes like they’re being illuminated by 1,000,000 W lightbulb. 

Just… I don’t know, give us an option to revert to the old version and just fix that version until it has no bugs and leave it alone. I don’t need another update on Discord anyways it’s pretty much good how it is.
