The new Discord UI.

I'm sure we're all aware of the new UI. It's utterly horrid. It's almost an utter headache to even LOOK at the UI or the colors. This is no doubt the downfall of Discord.  I've already changed my review, opinion on the app and the company. This genuinely disgusts me and my friends beyond expectation.

What's so bad? Well I'll show you.

Colors:

The theme colors are absolutely disgusting. 

We already all know everyone hates light mode, it's an actual eyestrain— But how about when all the colors turn into eyestrains? 

There is almost no color which is just right on the eyes anymore. It's between too light a grey or genuine void. It's genuinely annoying and has made almost everything harder to read.

Not to mention the issues with reading notifications while using Midnight. 

It has also come to my attention that it's became a lot harder for multiple of my friends to read messages on discord now. 

UI:

The UI is actually dreadful to navigate. I can't understand how Discord thought it was a good idea to rearrange next to everything, add annoying animations and so much more. 

The swipe to reply is actually HORRID. It's so much harder for me to add and remove roles, ban people and such in my server. I'd normally do that on mobile to do the listed things but not anymore. It's reply hell. 

Next, the DM situation. This genuinely makes it so much harder to navigate and talk to friends. A stupid button at the bottom of your phone is barely noticeable. It's genuinely became an actual struggle to even talk to my friends and view my servers. It's terrible.

VC's:

I'm sure everyone who's been on a VC recently has been utterly attacked by everything wrong with it.

First off, what's with the background? It's almost vomit worthy. The colors don't blend, they clash. It's absolutely dreadful that you've decided to turn that utter mess into a background for something.

Problem two, lag. I cannot do almost ANYTHING while I'm on call with anyone. My Discord decides to crash, not let me send GIFs, images, videos and such, won't let me leave the app without turning my screen into the void.

It genuinely feels like a punch in the face whenever I take a look at the call.

Disability friendliness:

The new UI isn't anywhere near disability friendly. It genuinely gives eyesores and has made Discord messages so much harder for the dyslexic and such to read. I doubt Discord took any consideration about people with reading disabilities and how this “update” would effect them.

Lag:

Ever since the update, Discord is breaking almost completely. Certain things won't send, app keeps crashing, nothing loads and such. I'm starting to refrain from using Discord because of the lag it causes.

My point is, the “update” sucks. Discord never thought this through at all. I truly bet that this update is the one that drives the company bankrupt.

After all, updates are supposed to improve things— Not make them worse.
