Audio input selection on mobile

The only post I can find on this are years old. There's still nothing to select audio input on mobile devices, only output. If I plug in a USB receiver for an external mic it doesn't register in the app though it does in other apps. Would be cool to be able to select input device or do what I've seen other apps do and be able to change mics by changing the phones prioritize settings
