"To change your email address, enter the code from the current one that is offline"

I am once again making a post about this topic.

A while ago, my email service provider took my email accounts offline without warning. I tried contacting them but they did not put them back online and said that they were not able to. When this happened I went and changed all of my accounts over to new email accounts, but when I tried to change my email on my Discord account, it told me to put in the code from the current email, which like I said is offline and I cannot receive or send emails with said account.

When stuff like this happens, many people would simply create a new Discord account, and move on. However, in my case, my Discord account is over 6 years old, so this is not really possible anymore. There is so many years of servers and messages now that starting on a new account isn't really possible or worth it.

So what do I do in this situation? At this point, I would rather just leave Discord and find other services to use, if this issue is not fixed. 

There needs to be a way to change the email address on your account if the current one is taken offline. Email providers often stop their services out of nowhere, or take email accounts offline out of nowhere, so it is a terrible idea to have this be the only way to change the email on an account.

And yes, I did contact Discord support about this, and they gave me an automated response, telling me that my “best bet would be to create a new account”, which like I said above, I refuse to do. It is clear that they are being extremely ignorant about this issue, or they know about it and can not be bothered to fix it.

Being able to change the email address on your account if the current one goes offline is a basic feature that almost every other service has. When this happened I contacted Steam, and I was able to prove that I own my Steam account, and they changed the email over. Same for Epic Games. All I had to do was contact their support, provide some proof that I own the account, and they changed the email on my account. Why does Discord not have this?
