Post as a user role not as a user
As a server admin who has had many admin users come and go, the history of the server is filled with posts of Admin level info, like things in the pins for example. Those users are gone, making the post look bad with <deleted user> or just plain a username no one on the server even knows.
I'd like to make it so can set specific roles permissions to post as their user role and that others or higher level can edit that post as their own.
Example:
[Bob], in an [Admin Corps] original posts and pins “Bob]: No profanity allowed”
would could of instead been posted as “[Admin Corps]: No profanity allowed” and then anyone in [Admin Corps] could directly edit it.
This could be more useful when a server has sub groups on it.
Raid 1 Leader
Raid 2 Leader
roles that likely have more turnover than say the server admin.
Current Raid 1 leader leaves, it would be nice if the new Raid 1 Leader has ability to edit all the stuff the prior Raid 1 Leaders had posted.
It goes without saying that it still would be nice to keep track of the individual user posting things.
So if you 5 admins, when you hover over the [Raid 1 Leader] it shows the details

Agree with the idea but disagree with the implementation. It shouldn't just automatically convert any pinned message to a ‘role’ message.
Though I do think there needs to be a default discord slash command where you can post as a role, provided by a specific permission like “post as this Role"0 -
DaddyBoard then its a good thing I did not suggest it to automatically convert any pinned message message to a ‘role’ message.
Bob posts and pins message.
Bob leaves servers
Bob's pinned message can't be edited, pinned message shows <deleted user/unknow user>, pinned message just looks like crap and an artifact of the before times.
instead
Bob, part of “Admin Group” posts and pins message.
Bob sets owner of pin to “Admin Group”
Bob leaves server.
Other members of “Admin Group” can still edit message and message shows as “Admin Group” as author/owner
This ability should extend to all features, such as events that bob created etc.
There should be profile setting for the channel & server that lets you choose who default posts.
Server 1 - Default post as - Self
Channel Valhiem - Default post as - Self
Channel Empyrion - Default post as - “Empyrion Leadership”

would could of instead been posted as “[Admin Corps]: No profanity allowed”You made zero mention of how Bob's message will turn from a normal post to a ‘role’ post. So one can only assume that the prior action you mentioned (pinning) will be the trigger.
But yes, we are on the same page now.
To clarify, I would expect this feature to have a permission to “Set group message” and will work by hierarchy (So if Admin is higher than Mod, and Admin has the perm, they can set group message for Admin and below.0
