Self-Chosen Role Color Permission
Currently, in servers where users can receive their own colors, the process to changing one's own color is rather convoluted. The only option besides using very limited-color bots is to ask a moderator to change your role color, which may or may not happen depending on who is a moderator and when they are online. I was thinking that Discord could have a new permission switch for roles that allows users that have that role to change its color.

A quick little mockup of what it may look like if it were put into place. I believe this would allow users to feel more freedom, save moderators some time, and save bot developers a lengthy block of code or two.

Which also leaves the server owner to create one role for each member... that’s even more work than getting a mod to change your colour or using a bot.

Ketania, no, that's the situation that ALREADY exists, where to change a person's color and nothing else you have to create a role for them (or have a bot do it). What they're proposing is that instead there be a specific, single role that does nothing but give users the power to set their own display name color. (And then you could still run a bot that lets people acquire that permission by reacting to a message or w/e, if you prefer that everyone be able to do that, or have mods assign the permission to people in servers where this is not desirable.) I think that is a great idea.
