Hidden members

We are getting a few accounts signing into our server, they usually use numbers or other characters, ( !O! ) for example, they then appear as offline, we are thinking they are bots.
Knowing that they could have set themselves to hidden, i have a suggestion.
I belong to a forum service, members are allowed to be invisible, but the admin of that forum and selected staff can still see them ( <name> (invisible) )
Would it be possible for at least the root admin to be able to see which members are hidden ?
