Channel topic as a pinned message

Could we please have an optional feature to set the channel topic as a pinned message? Not everyone is going to know how to see the channel topic, which is just an icon, with no indication of what the icon means(where you also see whose online).

  This might be strange, but an upgrade to channel topics' visibility could be a good idea.
