Issues with sound on Mac

Hi,

For the past few days I'm having issues with my sound on Mac. I wa checking different sound inputs (like a build in Mac Microphone, external headphones with Mic, External XLR interface) - and what I get is my voice being constantly being muted and unmuted (so it is on, off, on, off etc). I can hear this issue when I'm testing my voice via settings panel, also other people hear the issue.

Can you help me somehow?

    I am bumping up as it would be great to use my basic Scarlett interface and XLR mic in Discord as the built-in Mac Mic doesn't cut it for what I want to do. Any updates here would be great!
