Improving the bot verification requirements

As most of you are already aware of, Discord is no longer giving out verified bot dev badges to people who verify their bots. Now this badge was supposed to come as an extra, but it all went south due to those who were literally doing anything but get a bot up and running and earning the badge legitimately. The influx of bots made on the fly was overwhelming, so they decided to stop granting the badges.

Removing the badge wasn't the best approach out there imo, and I'm not satisfied with it whatsoever. It woulda been better to set the server requirement a bit higher, or to make a system that checks for how many actual members those guilds have. Maybe have checks for server owners to have different IPs, so that the same person can't create multiple accounts with servers to copy-paste his bot into. But we widely agree that straight up removing the badge was a bad move.

In case you have no will to bring that badge back under any circumstances, it should be removed altogether.

You can't really be regarded as "ahead of the game", when the game's rules are getting changed out of the blue.Additionally, the "early bot dev" badge will be an extra cause of trouble around the community, due to people who will sell accounts with the badge, just like those selling the "early suppporter" ones. In short, you either bring the badge back or remove it entirely.

At the end of the day, my bot turned out to be a fun project to work around with and it took most of my spare time this summer. I also learnt a new programming language, which I see as a bigger achievement than having that badge under my pfp. This will certainly not stop me from having my bot verified and it shouldn't stop you. I'm just saying that setting up a bot should be worth a badge more than just answering a survey, boosting a server and whatnot.
