Flip or rotate video
It would be nice to have a function to flip or rotate video on a video call. My webcam is mounted upside down from underneath my loft bed frame, and I can't change video output, so I just appear upside down

I have a similar issue here too, I have to stick to other applications for now as Discord is the only application that I have that doesn't support such a basic feature.
You can see on this screenshot that the video is upside down in the camera preview, same in calls etc, with no visible option to change the orientation...

I have a similar situation. Zoom and teams are both able to rotate the camera image. Please considering adding this feature.

WHY CAN'T I DO SOMETHING AS BASIC AS FLIPPING MY BACKWARDS VIDEO SO PEOPLE CAN ACTUALLY READ THE TEXT???

Also - It's unfortunate that the default view is mirrored so to me any text appears backwards.

I would also like this feature to be implemented. I am currently using a GoPro and unfortunately must be mounted upside down due to space.
This would be an extremely convenient feature that can also be used incase the rotate function on phone devices crap out sometimes. Hoping this can be a thing!

this is extremely annoying for capture cards too.
I REALLY hope they add this in the next update, I mean this is "a chat app for gamers" this should have always been a feature.

Bump, still a needed, basic feature any video chat application should have. Simple setting in Zoom, no clue why Discord still doesn't have this.

Not yet. I've been using snapchat's desktop app to rotate my camera. Fun bonus of having stupid filters 👍

Same issue. Using Logitech Streamcam and when i flip in their software it doesn't flip in Discord.
Please add the flip-function.

I would need this to show the battlemap to the others the same direction as it looks for me with my overhead camera, and no I can't rotate the physical camera.

Why is the camera flipped by default, and why just locally? How is that useful? Stop doing it.

I am trying to stream from OBS-Virtual webcam, and be able to have my Stream overlays and text show up correctly. THIS NEEDS TO BE A FEATURE!!!
Especially in the age of virtual conferences and needing to meet virtually, flipping your webcam should be a completely standard feature in Discord.

VectorSigma68 To be fair, Discord does show correctly on the other side. Only you see your own webcam flipped.
But don't get me wrong, I'm one of the upvoters here. I want this feature too.

@Yuta so if I send my stream from OBS, even if it displays backwards to me, it will appear correctly to everybody else? So they can read the text?
