custom User Badges for servers

I'm suggesting functionality that allows server admins/owners to upload emote size images that can be added to users as sorta like a role, except instead of showing up in the role list, it would show next to their username inside of the server, and can be hovered over to show text that can be specified for that role.

This can be used for several uses
Identifying staff
Rewarding Users with custom badges for custom server achievements etc.

I just really like this idea, I don't know if its been submitted before but I searched and couldn't find it, if it has been submitted before please link me to the original post so I can upvote it!
