Square profile picture option?

it would just be a nice option for customization.
that's all, i think people would like it.
not like it would do any bad, since it's optional and all.

side note: i noticed this suggestion has been made before, and usually gets loads of down votes.
i don't get why that would happen, since it's just a small option for people who want it.
maybe they were just suggesting it in the wrong places.

    Voicing my support, was going to make a post but found this.

    I personally think this would be a good option on the user end, and it doesn't seem to be that much work. In fact, Discord stores profile pictures with the full square (see mine here), so it seems as though there's a lot of data just not being used. In fact, it seems like more work is done to not make use of this than otherwise.

    I've had a lot of potential profile pictures simply ruined by the cropping, so it would be nice to at least have the aesthetic on my end, y'know?
