Gain focus to the text input after message deletion

I usually want to delete several messages at once using only keyboard.
For that I use hotkeys - UP arrow, shift+home, backspace, enter
It deletes the latest message, but the input textfield loses focus, that's why i can't press UP arrow again to edit the message before that. Thus I have to use my mouse anyway.

Would be nice for the text input to gain focus after message deletion just like after only editing it.
