It's very easy to make a self-bot and you can do so if you like. You're not going to get banned by Discord for it, you might get kicked from the server you're in though. It's largely the same API. And, if you can't even be bothered to use the API, there are quite extensive libraries for self-botting already  see https://pypi.org/project/discum/.
They're not going to make an entirely separate API just because you said pretty please.

theres a reason selfbots are for the most part disallowed. Theyre often used for spamming, nuking, nitro sniping, and generally malicious acts.

Discord widely uses "tokens" to login to your Discord account. I still to this day don't understand why they can't revamp the system and make it so you can't steel someone discord account with a string of text. They could easily add something that confirms your identity before you can change someones email. I think they need to completely re-work there login system and make it all on Discord's side everything is hashed and highly encrypted. It would make Discord such a better place if people could not easily steal someones account.

Is this not true for a username + password anyway?? Tokens are perfectly safe. You can refresh your token by changing your password.
