Periodic Notifications for Unread Messages

It would be great to have interval-based notifications for unread messages, by server. Maybe I never want to get a notification for unreads from one server, but want to know every 3 hours if there are unreads in another. Would stop both the flood of notifications but also the constant checking of channels to see whether people posted anything new.
