Stop opening last chat when launching
Recently on iOS the UI switched to a tabbed system, which is cool and all, but at the same time the app lost the ability to back out of all chats such that I don't get dumped into whatever the last chat I touched was when launching the app. I used to be able to do this by going to the online friends list, but now the app is frustratingly sticky about going back to the last touched chat.
Current:
- Chat with someone
- Be done chatting with them
- Try to find some way to get Discord not to dump me back into the chat the next time I launch it
- Fail miserably
- End up dumped back in that chat next time I launch Discord.
Desired:
- Chat with someone
- Be done chatting with them
- Back out of the chat (NOT DELETE OR ARCHIVE OR WHATEVER, just leave the chat where it was all tucked safely away for later)
- Launch Discord later to chat with someone else, and be pleased to not be shoved back into whatever the last chat I touched was.
It's very distressing to me not to be able to reset the app to a quiescent state when I feel like I'm done chatting with someone for the moment. Worst case scenario I'll be like 'oh hey RL friend, let me show you a hilarious meme someone else sent me on discord' and I open the app and it's a wall of private pics from some chat I forgot I was having like 6 hours ago.
