More notifications on android!!1!
Hey my dudes! Ever got the feeling that your Android was too quiet? Ever wanted to turn that little thing into a portable 24/7 rave party? Or maybe on a slightly more accurate note, ever thought that you did not get notified for every Discord post on android?
Well then boi oh boi do i have the feature request for you!
From what i've understood, on android - with every notification setting turned on and nothing muted whatsoever -, Discord creates a new notification per server (or channel? not sure about that one) and per direct message, and then proceeds to silently update that notification without ringing, buzzing or expanding it on-screen, between two to five times before shutting up forever. And then every new post from that same server/contact gets sent to the great notification area in the sky. Obviously, it means that if you think everything gets dutyfully notified (like on every other platforms i believe?), you'll end up missing a crazy load of posts, thinking that some lone guy got ignored by all a server while in reality everyone's shitposting right now.
Now, i understand that it might not be the wisest thing to implement for all those server-crazy people out there, but i'd still love to see a setting to notify the user about every single post, each time with a heads-up, a ring and a buzz. In other words, just like any sms app! And maybe even make it the default behavior, if every other platform handles it that way. On the plus side it's a great way to show off how useful server muting is - or the current soft-mutting if you wanna keep it somewhere, i suppose.
Love y'all, have a good one!
