Pixel Navigation Conflicts

when using gesture navigation on a pixel device (pixel 4 in my case), I am unable to open the people list, since the gesture to go back is swiping from the left or right edge of the screen. I am still able to open the server list, as it has a button to open it. I think an easy fix would be including a people list button.
