Suggestion for the Block Feature

There have been many ideas and such for improvements to the block feature, and I specifically like the option of choosing between the current block system and a new block system that completely cuts off the user from seeing anything from the blocked party. However, I am aware this would probably take the dev team quite a bit of work, so maybe something smaller.

All I really would like to see is disabled notifications for those who are blocked. The person I have blocked is, unfortunately, very active in the server. I frequently get new message notifications, only to check the server and see it is from the blocked party. I would rather not mute the server, since I'm still active in it and enjoy participating, but I would like to have notifications sent by the person I blocked completely gone.
