GIF Upload Not Functioning Properly

Firewall?

When i upload a Gif file here recently it makes it a static image of the first frame and isnt playing. I dont know what happened in the last update for Ios to cause this issue. Last week everything was functioning normally. I can view other peoples gifs normally but when i upload one its essentially a non animated image.

    Having the same issue and saw a colleague has the same issue. Both with Discord 3.1.10 on iOS.

    I've noticed that from the Dekstop app, GIF are working and if sent from there, it appears animated on the mobile app.
    But when you import them from the application they appear as static.

    Another test I made, sharing GIF from another application (WhatsApp, Line, etc.) is working.

    It's the upload of GIF that is not working.

    Also have the same issue. I use discord to transfer images between devices, but gifs are static when uploading from iOS.

    I'm having this issue too, and animated emojis are doing the same thing (viewing as a static image of the first frame of the gif)

    My issue is that the gif shows up as a picture and it has the “GIF” labeled in the upper right corner of the gif. It doesn’t play and when you click to open it, its just a blank screen

    Go to settings- appearance- turn off reduce motion

    If anyone has this issue on mobile, make sure Auto-compress is turned off.

    I found a fix for this. If you go to the animated GIF in your photo roll on IOS>Click the share button in the bottom left>Click Copy Photo>Then go to the discord where you are trying to send the GIF>Hold in the text field like you are trying to paste text and click the paste option it will insert the image as a GIF.

    Seeing this happen for no reason on Android. GIFs simply won't play when posted. App was uninstalled and reinstalled. Android OS and app is 100% updated. Internet connection is more than fast enough - I have fiber.
