Speaker Phone & Proximity Sensor
I've not had an issue with speaker phone not working as long as I keep my headset connected. The button in the call (it should be white when enabled) has always worked. A new problem that's recently arisen though, is that I can't use speaker phone without having my headset connected. If I disconnect my headset whilst in a talk and click speaker mode, nothing happens and my screen goes black. I can still hear the other speaker coming from my phone (but only internal speaker like a phonecall). I have to either restart the phone or connect the headset again which brings the phone back to life. Should be noted that I've had issues with blackouts during normal phone calls too, so this might not be only discord. I believe it might be because discord is using the proximity sensor to darken the screen when using it like a phone. I'd like to see a way to disable this feature. Or fix whatever the Discord part of the problem is.

I think the system is treating the Discord call as a normal phone call (coming from a SIM Card or whatever) that's why it's using the internal call speaker and blacking out the screen whenever the sensor is covered. I should also add that if the sensor is covered and I join a voice channel the screen will blackout and not turn on (because if I don't cover the sensor and join it'll just blackout whenever it's covered) so I have to lock and unlock my phone (With finger print only as the screen won't turn on) Leave the call and then will the sensor stop working. Hope everyone is doing ok with what's happening with Covid-19 and all the other stuff.

It's a proximity sensor or something with my phone if I cover the upper middle of my phone whole screen goes black

Doesn't matter if I'm speaker or headset. My sensor goes off.... Is there a way to stop it

Im having the same problem. I use my headphones and still the screen turns off. Discord i need answers. Im an admin in a bunch of servers and sometimes i can only use my phone.

Have you tried switching your input sound from phone to headset. When input is on phone, the call is treated as a normal phone call. So if you plug in a headset, change the input sound to headset. This option is there if you connect to a call.
