Dark theme FONT: New Font Causing Eye Strain

I believe this has been an issue before. It is an issue now. The mac client of discord has just rolled out an update with a new, bolder font that blurrs on the black background of dark the theme. Blurry text hurts to read, causes eye strain, and may trigger headaches. This needs to be fixed asap.

If Discord has trouble picking appropriate fonts, as it seems the case, please allow users to pick their own fonts. Even a shortlist would be better. As a side note, the recent trend in UI choices is worrying, between less spaced-out messages and eye-catching red banners on the side, because readability of text messages appears to be no longer a priority of the devs. Discord is first and foremost a chatting app. It would be good to remember that.

I am currently looking at alternatives as I will not be able to reasonably use the app until this issue is fixed.
