Having the ability to set a specific range of input sensitivity?

Can you please implement a feature to have the ability to set a specific range of input sensitivity for the input sensitivity slider? For example if I notice that people complain about me making extremely loud noises at random such as yelling or boinking my microphone I can set the input sensitivity to a specific range such as a range of -50db to -25db therefore the audio cuts out when the input exceeds the -25db threshold. Because I'm pretty sure no normal person will use the -50db to 0db input sensitivity range that we currently have going on. Unless they really like to yell through their microphone and deafen the entire chat room.
