No warning on server avatar time-out??

I'm trying to get the cropping and moving correct but for some reason I cannot update it anymore.  I've server boosted my server with users in it.  Now we have no avatar! as there was no warning and there is no telling if I can ever update it again!  Is there anyway to fix this?
