Revert the Voice channel changes.

This is terrible, I know you want to facilitate video calls but the very least allow server managers to disable this feature.

It's a bad UI design for pure voice calls, it makes the discord window unwieldy for small resolutions or portrait monitors. Not everyone has large resolution monitors nor wants to run discord full screen just to make this feature semi usable.

It pulls users out of chat channels meaning that they then need to change back to a text channel.

It has no place in voice only communications as feedback on who is talking is already shown on the voice channel sidebar.

A number of users on the servers I administrate have asked me how to turn it off, judging by the comments here it's equally as detested as a change. At this point people are asking me to spin up my Ventrillo servers to avoid this mess and we are seriously considering doing so and just using servers for text only.

Revert the Voice channel changes.

If you don't want to revert this change at least make it optional to users and server administrators so users can decide if they want it or not.
