Do you REALLY want to know how to relieve people of COVID-19 Free nitro ( Hear me out )

This isn't some BS kid talking free nitro, free nitro! I am serious. 100 MB of uploads or crap isn't helping not one part of COVID-19. You want to make a difference and help people? Make an announcement all over the discord platform for those who are actually active on the platform, to see and get their free one month nitro. That'll make everyone happy so they maybe boost their server and help their communities while they are also struggling through this tough time! HELL if you are more generous enough, give them free 15 boost to help out their servers even better, LOL it's not like the boost are gonna stay, they are all gonna leave anyway once the nitro expires. But hey, that's a story for another time. Not being a smartass, but you guys should really try to stop taking people's money and just actually make people happy for a change, that is why discord fell off. Yeah it's hell of users because most are alts and pedos, but it truly fell off and would be better if you guys actually took part in making people happier. Think about that.

    Obviously due to covid-19 and jobs being cancelled for the time being, money can be short, everyone understands that. Though you gotta remember: Nitro is an optional thing for people who have some spare money to give to discord to support them and recieve perks in return.

    Though you gotta remember:

    Nitro is one of Discords main source of income!

    It might seem generous for DIscord to give out free nitro during these difficult times, but Discord has to pay their bills too, not just you:

    They have to..

    • ..pay for servers
    • ..pay for employees (yes, even during this times, Discord cannot just simply pause)
    • ..pay for other expenses such as office building costs
    • ..and more

    Discord has already done everything they can do on their side to make these times easier for us, by increasing the Go Live limit to 50 to make online teaching possible, probably upgraded their servers to support higher loads of users, etc..

    Now rethink your Post: Would you really want to get the most essential, most important source of income of Discord for free? Would you really want to make it harder for Discord to handle this Situation at the moment?

    PS: the greatest communities can also grow without boosts or anything else Nitro-related, it just takes effort and time.
