Minimum window width is too large and doesn't consider Discord's own interface scaling

Context

I have two monitors: 4K main monitor, 1080x1920 secondary (oriented portrait)
I'm using Ubuntu 20.04
I've enabled 200% display scaling in Ubuntu's display settings: Program interfaces are too small on my main monitor otherwise. Fractional scaling could help but has a performance penalty.

Problem

I'd prefer to keep Discord on my secondary monitor. Unfortunately, the window's minimum size is wider than my secondary monitor is (it is oriented portrait). The content of the window looks like it should fit, especially if I tweak the scaling of Discord from within Discord itself. Unfortunately, the window cannot be reduced in size below a fixed minimum.

Solutions

Being able to make my windows too small for the content is not something I need to be saved from. Just removing all size limitations would be significantly better.

More complicated solutions are unnecessary, but if the size restrictions must remain, then they ought to take into account Discord's own interface scaling values.

Workaround

Running the Discord web app in Firefox on my second monitor in full screen mode works fine. I can use the browser's zoom controls to tweak the fit.

Yes, I was looking it up and I see so many complaints about the size, yet nothing has been done! FOR YEARS. Seriously? Take off the restrictions! Mostly, let us close the THREE HUGE, freaking, un-adjustable side menus when we don't need them!

This is ridiculous and extremely user-unfriendly. It should not be necessary to hack configuration files in order to have the discord UI take up less that 3/4 of my screen. (using an older laptop for chat and email while working on a PC)

Does anyone who works at Discord actually read these threads? I don't see evidence of that.
