App no longer functions correctly on split screen

When I put the app in split screen on my android tablet as I often do to watch streams, the side bar to navigte between channels on a server no longer works. I cannot click anything on it until I return the app to full screen. Was any testing done on this at all? Is any user feedback ever even looked at?

This along with how nauseating and ill conceived the new update is makes me no longer wish to use the app. The only reason I will have to continue to use the app is to talk to friends.
