I think it'd be pretty handy to be able to pop out and view multiple video streams at once. For example, if someone is playing a game and also has a video stream from their webcam going, it'd be nice to be able to watch both by popping out the webcam stream and still being able to see the game they're playing in the app's video area (rather than the current behavior, which forces you to use the grid feature in order to see both, making both streams rather small). It'd also be nice to be able to watch multiple streams at once in general, say in the event that two people are playing the same game and we want to be able to watch them both at once without being forced to switch between them.
This could also have use cases for streamers, where they could use multiple popped out streams to help composite a live video of several folks in a call playing games at once.
An idea for implementation: when a video stream is popped out, instead of showing a message stating such, it goes back to an interface showing a grid of current video streams. From there, users can pick one that isn't popped out and view it as if it's focused (while the popped out stream continues), and then optionally pop that one out as well. Game/screen streams would all be playing by default rather than them being paused until clicked on, but maybe users could right click them in order to pause them/stop watching.
In this case, the "you've popped the stream out to another window" message could still be shown in place of the streams that are currently popped out, and each popped out window should act independently of one another. Hopefully this helps a bit if the proposal gets implemented!
