I was never good at putting things into the right words, but here is my attempt at trying.
On PC: If you go into your settings (the gear icon) and to notifications, then scroll down, you're allowed to toggle the sounds that notify you if something happens (such as a user leaving a voice channel, if you're being called, or when your push-to-talk key is being pressed)
I would like this to be taken a step further, to where you're not only able to toggle the notification sounds, but you're able to change them to whatever you want, as long as they're roughly the same sound length as the default notification sound.
This would be completely client side, so nobody else but the client would affect their own notification sound.
In practice: I get a message, and instead of the default "ping", it's a minimal "beep" that I picked out from some royalty free sound website that I uploaded to the sound file.
Someone opens a voice chat with me, and instead of the default discord ring noise, it plays a song, or an alarm tone, that I picked from a sound library
I hit my PTT button, and instead of the default tone, it's a robotic voice telling me "PTT On" that I used a website to generate and download.
