UI not telling user push-to-talk is enabled
User story
- After a year of not using Discord i return to go in a call with some friends.
- I download the program again and log in to my account that i used previously.
- I join friends group call
Problem
People can't hear me, i check microphone and it is working. Settings are all correct. I get frustrated at program for not working correctly.
Cause
I had previously turned on push-to-talk and forgotten about it. There was nothing in the call interface that told me i had to hold in a button to be heard.
Possible solutions
- Ui element showing a finger pressing a button, that is grayed out and only lights up when user presses button
- A little popup that tells user "You have push-to-talk enabled, hold the button to be heard" after microphone detects sound/voice and user hasn't been using program for a long time
