I dont like the new video call stream & camera update

I really like that discord is trying to expand the features to be able to do more in video calls, but i really liked the old fashion share screen for a reason. Its allot easier to use, and you dont have to click "join stream" like it is now when you're in voice channels for example. Not only that, some of my friends cant view the stream in video calls. I talked to allot of people and they all feel the same way about this as i do. Please bring back screen share, or add it as an option to use as well as streaming in video call so we can use both if we wanted to. Thanks for hearing me out.

    I agree entirely, I submitted an email regarding this recently and they directed me to the feedback website, glad someone else shares the same opinion. I’d want to show my mates something in my game for example and I’d share my screen and then they would either be like “You’re not sharing your screen” or “Which screen is yours??” It’s so complicated I love the simple Discord it used to be. I also like to be able see my stream that I’m sharing on my second monitor as I don’t really care about ‘disabled preview to save resources’ I’d like to be able to turn this off just for the sake of monitoring my own stream for quality control etc.

    Yea im pretty sure that most of the discord community would agree, screen share was a very easy and simple way to video call. Thanks Rivva and Pizza Mozza for your replies, means allot.

    the way it is now is not  good at all. the way it was before it changed was very easy to use and more people were willing to share their screen. now  hardly anyone does. please change it back. thanks

    I like how they’re trying to change the system but, everytime I try to watch a friend stream like Minecraft or something, I always forget to press join stream because I still haven’t gotten used too the new system. Soon enough we’ll get used to it, but at the moment we just have to deal with it until they either change it or keep it the same.
