User list constantly moving near the bottom for large servers

I noticed this on some big server: I was looking for a user in the list but the closest you are to the bottom of the list, the shakier it becomes. My guess is that there's more and more chances that users above might connect/disconnect, constantly updating the list and moving stuff around. I have no idea how this would be fixed, but I believe your UX guys might have an idea or two :)
