Offline Mode
Hypothetical Scenario that may or may not have happened to me within the immediate half hour after posting this: Say you're writing a message. A very long message. Suddenly, you're internet cuts out. Completely. Absolutely no connection. But Discord is still in front of you, so you figure you might as well finish writing your dummy-long message while you wait for your internet to cut back on. You get pretty far after a hot minute. Just then, Everything goes blank, and the discord loading screen appears. Discord cannot operate without a constant connection. When you do get service again, your long-ass message that you spent forever typing out is GONE.
Wouldn't it be J U S T F A N T A S T I C if Discord had an "Offline Mode" that maintains the interface but notifies you that you're offline and that navigation won't work? You don't even need to cache much. Just what's immediately visible to you, or at the very least the chat bar so Discord doesn't eat whatever you were typing when it goes offline.

100% agree. It's total BS - lost connection and couldn't finish what I was doing, even though it just required reading WHAT WAS ALREADY ON THE SCREEN seconds before. Also: let us log in without the annoying 'upgrade' thing (which, by the way, we should have the ability to disable). Very annoying.
