Forum functionality in large servers
I will keep this short and simple.
Large servers are infamous for their rapid-paced chat and complicated channel layout, making keeping up with it somewhat difficult if you aren't constantly analyzing the chat to figure out who's responding to what. There's no way to easily fix this in current servers without reducing server activity, be it slowmode or creating duplicate channels (#general-1, #general-2, #general-3), since this discourages activity and adds a temporary buffer that will eventually be reached, respectively. Now, this has already been acknowledged by discord (see https://support.discord.com/hc/en-us/articles/4403205878423-Threads-FAQ), but as current implementation stands it will likely be disabled on large servers as it practically allows users to create their own channels at will, making moderation a main in the a** for humans (you may argue that bots can solve this, but since when are those fool-proof?).
Introductions out of the way, I will now state my main proposition. A forum tab.
That's literally it.
Chat tab and a Reddit/Discourse-like Forum tab for large servers. Two types of social media in one. Boom. Bam. Kablamo. Instead of trying to turn discord into a weird forum/chat hybrid, you could literally just create two seperate services that integrate seamlessly with one another.
You can go eat that hot pocket you had waiting in the microwave now.

Thanks for the explanation.
Reread my post, this suggestion is for large servers where large/multiple conversations occur in chatrooms/parallel.1
