Private Threads and Server Boosting

I was about to create an RP channel for my D&D group, and I realized threads would be perfect! Private threads especially for when a party member wants to talk to just one or two members. However, private threads are unlocked after 15 boosts? I think this feature has a lot of quality of life improvement/potential that hiding it behind a paywall just seems like a slap in the face.

I think private threads should just be a base feature. It would really help out a lot of smaller servers and make small side chat much less cumbersome.

If they simply must be a boost feature, I would like to know why.
