Discord more customizable less 2 dimensional

I would like to know if there’s any plans for the future to personalize discord more and make options available to not just have to choose white or grey background to discord it would be nice to maybe have options to add backgrounds to the text channels like for steam profiles or MySpace type with a custom cursor that the whole server sees and uses. It feels sort of like typing into a Microsoft word document with the current not customizable state. For something many people use for hours a day it would be nice to be able to add your own personal touches to your own servers beyond adding bots or server icons.
