[Suggestion] Feature Suggestion - More Voice Channel Customisation For Large-Scale Games
With multiplayer games becoming larger and more complex, it is important for an easy method of communication within large teams. This is why I'd like to suggest a more customisable voice channel system called something along the lines of an "Advanced Voice Channel". In this voice channel, smaller groups could be created. By default, you would only be able to communicate your group. But a second push-to-talk key would allow you to speak to the entire voice channel. Each group could also be given a specific set of permissions, so certain groups could have priority speaking over another.
This feature is ideal for upcoming large-scale games, such as EA's Battlefield 2042 where there are up to 128 players in a single match. As you may know, having a large amount of people in one voice channel often leads to chaos and confusion so in a game with very large maps, it is important to be organised. Despite the slowly decreasing use of online learning, this would be a good feature for schools so students could work on projects with a certain group, but the entire class could still hear their teacher/professor or other classmates' questions. This would create a more realistic classroom environment for online learning, something that is desired by many schools.
Thanks for taking the time to read my suggestion and I hope you like it!
