we should be able to delete other people's messages from our own end and not have it affect other people's chats

we should be able to delete other people's messages from our own end and not have it affect other people's chats. This should be a Basic feature . If somebody direct messages me an uncomfortable message or posts some triggering content on a server that I do not want to see, but I do not want to block them, I should be able to delete their message without blocking them. Facebook messenger / whatsapp has this exact same feature where you can delete other people's messages, but the message will only be deleted on your end. Why this is not a Basic feature on discord?
