iOS - Universal Links - aka deep linking
Discord on iOS does not follow apple's newer standards for deep linking.
We're building an iOS app and we host our community on discord. Therefore it's unfortunate for us that discord cannot deep link into our app like other modern apps do.
You can fix this by updating how the Discord iOS app handles links.
See the "Support Universal Links" section in the link below. Discord on iOS should implement one of these methods when tapping on links. Currently links default to opening up in a Safari modal, thereby not allowing the system to check for a universal link.

It really is a big killjoy for people finding invite links on safari, only to be met with the discord login screen - it's a simple fix.

Would this provide a general solution that would address Broader support on iOS for Google Drive/Docs links opening in associated iOS app? Or are the two topics independent?

Hello community,
Have been facing the same issue with several apps. It is such a shame!
Have been exchanging emails with the support center for almost a month and they keep denying the issue exists and coming up with excuses why it does not work inside their In-app Browser.
Hope this feedback pushes the issue up on their priorities list.
Have a great day!

Echoing this as well - this is a problem for communities that rely on Discord for communication or sharing of content in other applications or web services. Having a URL open within an embedded safari instance rather than checking the OS level hooks first is extremely annoying and inconsistent - especially when the Android app handles this gracefully.
This is an extremely simple fix, and I do hope it's on the roadmap.1 -
Is there any support for this yet? I am hoping to have a bot invite redirect to the mobile app.
