Options to distinguish unread messages appearing directly after a user-sent message

People don't always reply to a specific message — perhaps we made input into an ongoing conversation, and then left to look at a different channel. Keeping track of which channels we typed in is difficult, especially on a large server — it would be nice to be able to look at only channels where I could carry on the conversation I started, rather than have to manually check each channel.

This could take multiple forms:

• A tab in the Inbox, so that users can see messages that are more likely to respond to them;
• An option for a "red dot" on channels, so that users can easily see which channels may have conversation with them;
• Some form of notification for the first unread message if it comes directly after (this one would be very fiddly, so while it's certainly an idea, I wouldn't support it)
